Prof. Dr. Asuman Turanboy graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1982 and completed her master’s studies in Civil Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law between 1982-1983. She worked as an auditor at the Court of Accounts from 1982 to 1986. In 1986, she started to work as a research assistant at Ankara University Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial Law. Prof.Turanboy received her PhD degree from Ankara University Faculty of Law with the thesis titled “Insider Treatments” (Unlawful Use of Company Information) on 22 June 1988; on 18 November 1997 she became an associate professor with the thesis titled “Paperless Securities”. She was awarded the title of professor on 29 May 2002 with the book on “Publicly Opened Bank and Protection of Its Shareholders”.

Prof. Dr. Asuman Turanboy still continues her duty as the Head of the Department of Commercial Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law and the Director of the Institute of Banking and Commercial Law.

Prof. Dr. Asuman Turanboy specializes in banking, trade, companies, capital market law and negotiable instruments law.
