Prof. Dr. Asuman Turanboy is a co-founder of BE&TA Law Office and a Professor of Commercial Law, widely recognized as an expert in banking law, corporate law, and capital markets law.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ankara University in 1982 and obtained her Master’s degree in Civil Law from Ankara University between 1982 and 1983. From 1982 to 1986, she worked as an auditor at the Turkish Court of Accounts.
In 1986, she began her academic career as a research assistant at the Department of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law, Ankara University. In 1988, she earned her PhD with a dissertation entitled “Insider Treatments (Unlawful Use of Company Information)”. In 1997, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor with her research on dematerialized securities, and in 2002, she became a Professor based on her scholarly work on publicly traded banks and the protection of shareholders.
Prof. Dr. Turanboy currently serves as the Head of the Department of Commercial Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law and as the Director of the Institute of Banking and Commercial Law.
Her academic and professional expertise covers banking law, commercial and corporate law, capital markets law, and negotiable instruments law.
